DGA News – 2026 Final Edition
Oakbrook
We finished the season with a two-Duck scramble at Oakbrook in Tacoma. We had a beautiful day, a small herd of deer to entertain us, and a variety of results in the competition. In the low-handicap Harlequins flight, we had a tie at net 64 between Vince Williams and Thurman Young and Chuck Bauman and Nick Nichols, with Vince and Thurman claiming the tiebreaker. In the high-handicap Teals flight, Patric Brayden and Tony Hanson had a net 67, which gave them a two-stroke margin over Bill and Mike Gannon and Dave Hardy and Dave Johnson. Our one runaway was in the mid-handicap flight, where Kyle Bissell and Michael Wu stormed to a net 62 to win by five strokes over Jim Naeve and Geoff Reynolds and Larry Kaleiwahea and Dan Whiting.

Season Winners
As mentioned in the last newsletter, our 2026 Duck Off winners were Curtis Soares and Clif Howe. Our division winners were Thurman Young in the Hueys, Chuck Bauman in the Deweys, and Greg Lesnar in the Louies. Low Average Gross winners were Jerome Gotz, Keith Joyal and Greg Lesnar. Greg Lesnar captured this year’s Varduck Trophy for low average net score. You can find all these winners and more on our Champions page.
