DGA News – May 16, 2026

Avalon Auks Adventure

We had a beautiful day for golf at Avalon. Apparently, most of the flock was dazzled by all that sunshine – we only had two Ducks who managed to break net par! Chuck Bauman had the low score of the day with a net 66, which smoked the rest of the Deweys; Jeffrey Hergert and Karlo Thornvig were the closest, each with net 79. Jerome Gotz fired a 67 and “eked” out a 10-stroke victory over Nick Simpson in the Hueys. Things were much closer in the Louies, where Greg Lesnar claimed a two-stroke edge over Uffe Ostergaard and Kyle Bissell.

The team competition was also close. In the low-handicap flight, Ward Groesbeck, Jerome Gotz, Jay Webber and Dan Fehrenbacher won by two over Nick Nichols, Dan Whiting, Chuck Bauman and Dan Flugstad. In the high-handicap flight, it was a single stroke edge by Greg Lesnar, Kenneth Olsen, Henrik Molholt and Russ King.

The big winners in the skins game were Jeff Braden, Vince Williams and Jim Hansen. Top earners in the Scrooge were Greg Lesnar, Chuck Bauman and Uffe Ostergaard.

You can find all the winners on our website.
