Snohomish
We had a warm sunny day at Snohomish and the course was firm and dry. Thomas Larsen evidently likes it that way, as he had the low net of the tournament, with a sparkling 64 that gave him a two-stroke edge over Hank Henry in the Hueys. Special mention to Hank, whose gross score was one stroke lower than his age! Michael Wu had the second-lowest net with a 65 that topped Dave Johnson by three strokes. In the Louies, Larry Harvey and Mike Gannon tied with net 66. Larry took the title via the tiebreaker.
In the team game, Tyler Roush, Michael Wu and Kyle Bissell (and a fill-in officer) edged Larry Harvey, Bob Anderson, Hank Henry and Larry Kaleiwahea in the low-handicap flight, while Philmore Redeau, Scott Bessho, Jerry Martin and Patric Brayden won via the tiebreaker over Dave Hardy, Dave Luchtel, Tony Hanson and Dave Johnson.
Big winners in the skins game were Dan Whiting, Ted Binder and Sam Hergert. The Scrooge game was topped by Larry Harvey, Mike Gannon and Dave Johnson. As a bonus, everyone who played was a winner; the course charged us less than we expected, so all players got a little bonus in their Nestegg.
You can find all the winners on our website.
Riverbend
We now head to an old favorite we haven’t visited in quite a while, Riverbend Golf Course in Kent. The format of this tournament is individual stroke play and two-Duck best-ball. Tee times and tournament details are now on our website. See y’all there.
Legion Memorial
Our next regular tournament is at Legion Memorial on August 9. The format of this tournament is individual stroke play and four-Duck best-ball. Entry forms are now on our website and are due July 19. Note this tournament occurs only two weeks after Riverbend, so Greg needs to know ASAP whether you are playing at Legion.
