DGA News – April 26, 2025
Opening Day Scramble
We had wonderful weather for our first tournament of the season, and some fierce competition out on the course. In both flights, the top three teams were each separated by a single stroke. Honors in the low-handicap Wood Ducks flight go to the team of Curtis Soares, Larry Kaleiwahea, Nick Simpson and Dan Whiting. They finished with a net score of 56, one better than runners-up Hank Henry, Dave Johnson, Don DeWeese and Kent Ferris. In the high-handicap Harlequins flight, the team of Roger Olson, Chris Smith, John Smith and Thomas Edgar had a net 59, one stroke better than Scott Bessho, Philmore Redeau, Patric Brayden and Jerry Martin.
